On a blazing hot summer day in 2024, I got to hang with THE DUDE himself and shoot a promotional video for Slow Magic, an album of previously unreleased music from Jeff’s 1970s band. We met at a vinyl pressing plant deep in the San Fernando Valley and watched the LP come off the assembly line. The afternoon ended with an impromptu dance party to “KONG,” a song Jeff wrote about his experience starring in the 1976 remake of King Kong.
